When Wide Horizon For Children first met Feven, she was just 12 years old. At that time, she was a true orphan — both parents had died, and she was living with her aunt. Her uncle had been discharged from the military due to injury and as a result, the family had no means of income. The family relied solely on Feven’s program support for their very survival. It was a lifeline for them during this time.
Feven was able to remain in school and focus on her studies. She was a very hard-working and high-achieving student. With extra educational support, she passed her university entrance exams and enrolled in Axum University in the field of Mechanical Engineering. In 2023, she graduated from university with a cumulative GPA of 3.4. She is currently teaching in a private school, while seeking a better position in her field.
All Feven needed was a helping hand and some encouragement to reach her potential and achieve the lofty goals she set for herself. Now, with her degree in hand, the sky is the limit for her!
