Yogansh

Yogansh lives with his mother, father and grandmother in a one room rented apartment in the Masjid Bandar slum community in India. He is an active young boy who likes to play outdoor games like cricket and football. This past year, his father became ill and has been unable to work steadily. This compounded the already dire financial situation the family was in. His mother has been able to find part-time work in an office, but must split her time to take care of her young son, ill husband and the elderly grandmother. Despite the family’s hardship, Yoganesh attends school regularly and is a good student. Our partner social workers in India report that his parents are very proud of their son who is said to be “good, responsible, very good in studies and well mannered.”
