Timnit

Timnit lives with her mother and two brothers in a small rented house in northern Ethiopia. Her father is alive, but not present in her life. Timnit’s mother works as a housekeeper for many families, but her income is not enough to meet the family’s basic needs. She tries to supplement it by selling kollo, a roasted cereal, but still fails to earn what the household needs. Timnit is a happy, helpful teenager, who is good in school and loves playing with her friends. She is in grade 7, but struggles to stay focussed when she is hungry or doesn’t have the school supplies she needs. Will you sponsor Timnit so she can stay in school, graduate and change her future?
